Vipers, we’d like your thoughts on our candy bar fundraiser.
To earn 50-percent profit, we have to sell 35 or more cases (each case contains four carrier boxes of 60 bars each for a total of 240 bars).
Each bar costs $1 so each case would generate a total of $240. We earn 50-percent of the total, which would give each player who sells an entire case $120 toward her club fee. The entire amount raised by you is applied to your fee. The club will not benefit from this fundraiser.
The problem we’d encounter is if we don’t want to sell one case per girl (240 bars). If we fall below the 35 cases, our percentage of profit would drop to either 45-percent (26-34 cases) or 40-percent (1-25 cases).
Selling tip: Visit a local merchant and ask them to prepay for the bars and sell them at their point of sale. They recoup their expenses and support our club!
