Preview

Tournament hosted by the Ohio XTreme Volleyball Club at the Massillon Perry Recreation Center.

The 15U regional event is a four-court, 16-team OVR standard format. Courts 1 through 4 will be in the Wellness Center. It is a short walk through an entirely indoor hallway between the venues. Spectators will NOT be allowed on the high school gymnasium floor nor be allowed to bring folding chairs into the gym, as there is ample mezzanine seating available.

For the Wellness Center, seating will be provided but spectators may use their own folding chairs here.

Concessions will be provided by the Wellness Center. Any food from vendors outside of the tournament remain outside of the tournament.

Doors open at 7:30 a.m; coaches’ meeting at 8:00 a.m. First serve, 8:30 a.m.

For pools of four teams, the best of three sets will win matches. Each non-deciding set will be won by the team that first scores 25 points with a minimum two-point advantage (no scoring cap). If there is a deciding set, it will be won by the team that first scores 15 points with a minimum two-point advantage (no scoring cap). Change sides when a team earns eight points. A point will be scored on each rally. If the receiving team wins the rally, they score a point and gain the serve.

The top two teams in each pool will advance to the eight-team Gold bracket. All third place teams will advance to the four-team Silver bracket and the fourth place teams will advance to the four-team Bronze bracket.

Tie-breaking: Since all teams advance to playoffs, ties will not be decided by playing a set.

1. If two teams from the same pool are tied, their head to head match determines their order of finish.

2. If three teams from the same pool are tied after match and set percentage and point differential have been calculated, a coin flip will determine their order of finish.

For the third-place teams after Round 1:

3. If two teams from different pools are tied after match and game percentage and point differential have been calculated, a coin flip will determine their order of seeding.

4. If three or more teams from different pools are tied after match and game percentage and point differential have been calculated, a coin flip will determine their order of seeding.

WEATHER NOTICE

If a level three travel advisory occurs during a day of the event, the event will be canceled and clubs will receive a refund as soon as possible.
